Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care, including assessments, evaluations, and treatments Manage LPN staff - perform evaluations and overall supervision Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians Monitor residents and document observations in medical records Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individual care plans Educate residents and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care measures Assist with health coaching and disease management for residents with chronic conditions Perform specialized procedures such as DME fitting, medical imaging, specimen collection processing, and continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) management Provide support and care for residents with special needs or dementia Assist with family planning services Requirements:
Current FL RN license Master's degree in nursing (MSN) preferred; BSN required Minimum 6 years of nursing experience Minimum 3 years working with developmentally disabled individuals Valid FL Driver's License with acceptable driving record Must pass a Level II background check including a drug & TB screening Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and staff Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care PHP/FPDC is an intermediate care facility for the intellectually and developmentally disabled.
We care for individuals 24/7 in a set of four (4) homes that hold up to 16 individuals.
